Predator Control Group is the leader in the field of predator control. We believe that there is more to predator control having a guy on the ground setting traps.
Predator control is more than theory about the dynamic relationship between predators and their prey. To us, predator control is the action of taking the predator out of the equation. We follow the “SCORCHED EARTH” policy. This policy is simple, performance, performance, performance. We take more coyotes and bobcats per acre than any control company today. We have proven just how dedicated to protecting deer we are in a study for the University of Georgia on fawn recruitment and predators. In the scientific study, our methods and work ethic resulted in 200% more fawns after just one year of predator control. To date this is the highest percentage of fawn recruitment improvement in any scientific study. Something needs to be made clear and understood by you the wildlife manager if you want this high of fawn recruitment. It takes the removal of 75% or more of the predators to take the stress off of your deer and fawns. This takes more than a little predator calling or having a fur trapper catch a few coyotes off of your property. To remove 75% of coyotes, you need a serious campaign along with a high degree of skill that has to be implemented. There are a lot of well meaning fur trappers that would like to trap your property, but most fur trappers have been taught to take the easy animals and run. Professional control trapping is different; we take the easy animals and the hard to catch animals. This approach takes a longer commitment, different techniques and more strategy than most fur trappers understand or want to commit too.
We protect more than deer. We also keep livestock, turkey, quail and exotics safe from predators.
If you use protein feeders, every raccoon on your property is costing you $200 each. So if you have only 10 raccoon on your ranch or club, they are costing you a realistic $2,000 each year. 100 raccoons will eat $20,000 worth of your protein feed each and every year. We can take care of the raccoons for you, so your protein will be there for the wildlife you bought it for. Call and we can discuss a plan of action to save you money and wasted feed. One of our control operators caught 314 raccoons in 15 days. There is more to coon control than a few cage traps or electric fence.
Predator Control Group also performs beaver and otter control. Don’t let beavers kill your timber, flood your roads and destroy your property. Otters can and will eat fish in ponds and lakes. They have a tendency to stay on a pond or lake till their food supply is gone. Our best otter catch from one operator is 51 in 20 days and 1,102 beaver in 10 months.
Every customer has different needs, so we will customize a program to meet your needs. Predator Control Group has many options for you to choose from. We can perform control work from 7 days to a year round program.
Some land owners want to be hands-on in their own predator control. For this reason we can train your men to catch coyotes, bobcats, otter and beaver. We can also have consulting services for you in regards predator control and the different options you have to protect your wildlife resources.
Predator Control Group performs predator control in the East, mid-west and as far west as West Texas. Because of our high degree of success rates on predators, our schedule can get full during certain times of the year. If you are interested in us protecting your wildlife, give us a call so we can set up a time that meets your schedule. We give existing customers priority on scheduling. Then we fill the rest of the schedule on a first come, first serve bases.
Warning: As more press is given to the negative affects of predators on wildlife more wildlife managers are looking into predator control. The result is more fur trappers and coyote callers are claiming to be “professional control trappers”. This can be confusing to a land owner, because he is not from the trapping side of wildlife management. Companies are popping up daily. I have no doubt that in several years of learning and commitment; they could become proficient in predator control. Please don’t confuse us with the start up’s. I have seen companies try and get as close to our name as possible to try and use our reputation to confuse customers. Most are claiming 20-30 years of predator control, but they had full time jobs outside of trapping just a year ago. Setting traps on a weekend for fur 20 years ago while on vacation is not the same as making a living in predator control. While trapping a coyote or two in a state may be “technically” predator control, but to claim this limited experience is misleading. Most trappers have experience in winter trapping only. So they try and force the client to work around winter dates. This is because of two factors. One is lack of experience about the habits of predators during other times of the year. Two, they are fur trappers that are concerned more about the value of the fur than the concept of protecting your wildlife. What this means to you is that more time will be spent on trapping the animals with the most fur value than concentrating totally on predator control. I know this all may seem confusing, but it is up to you to check out the history and ability of the trapper that claims to be a “professional”.
